Kitchen Composter

A kitchen composter is a small device used to compost organic kitchen waste. It efficiently recycles food scraps like fruit peels, vegetable trimmings, coffee grounds, and eggshells into nutrient-rich compost. With its compact design, the composter can be placed on countertops or under sinks, providing a convenient way to collect and store food waste. This compost can then be used as a natural fertilizer for plants and gardens, promoting sustainable gardening practices and reducing landfill waste. Kitchen composters are an eco-friendly solution for managing kitchen waste effectively.

What is the capacity? Does it handle all kinds of kitchen waste, even chicken bones?

Holds approximately 2.64 quarts. I believe that as long as it is not too hard, kitchen waste can be disposed of. Of course, this includes chicken bones, fish bones, etc. I've attached a video of me disposing of the trash, which is honestly pretty cool.

How can I get a replacement activated carbon box?

There is no need to replace the whole cartridge, just the activated carbon inside it. You can purchase replacement activated carbon at most home improvement or hardware stores.

To replace the activated carbon, follow these steps:

1. Turn the cartridge counterclockwise and remove the top cover.
2. Remove the screw on the back of the cartridge and turn it counterclockwise to remove the cover.
3. Replace the activated carbon with a new one.
4. Reinstall the carbon cartridge.
5. Press and hold the quick-off button for 10 seconds to reset the machine.
I hope this information is helpful!

Does it work?

Yes, it works amazingly well! In fact, this composting machine produces compost in just 5.5 hours, which would otherwise take my backyard composter a whopping 3 months to achieve. It truly delivers on the advertised promises.

Do I need to clean it after every use and is cleaning easy?

I always clean mine after each use, and it's a breeze to do. After emptying it, I just use a damp sponge to wipe down the lid and rinse out the inner bucket. If there are any stubborn stains, I sometimes soak the bucket in hot water before giving it another rinse and letting it air dry or drying it with a dish towel. Overall, maintenance is effortless.

What is the material of the garbage bin? Does it have a coating that comes in contact with food?

The compost bin is composed of metal buckets that have a non-stick coating. As it is made of metal, it can be easily cleaned using a dishwasher. I hope this answers your question.
